By hiring us, you'll be accepting these terms and conditions. We know it's long, so here's what you need to know:
Terminology
Place will refer to your premise, meaning your home, office, or property.
Cleaners are the onsite cleaning crew from Kelly Kim Cleaning Services. Sometimes it’s a crew of 1 (one), sometimes it’s more. We’ll let you know.
We, us, and our will refer to Kelly Kim Cleaning Services.
You is referring to yourself, the person reading this, the customer or client, whichever you prefer.
Booking, service, and job means the cleaning service we provide.
Additions & Amendments
- If you have any changes, you’ll have to let us know before we get your place at least 1 (one) business day in advance.
- If you need additional services or variations when we arrive or start cleaning, you’ll have to call us. We will consider it, but we can’t guarantee that we’ll do it. And don’t ask the cleaners directly, it’s unprofessional and they’re not authorised to do anything other than the job they’re assigned.
What you need to do
Providing a premium quality clean is a serious business, so we trust you to helpus do our job.
Here’s what we need from you:
- move any heavy items like fridges, bookshelves, or other furniture if you want us to clean behind or under them before we get to your place.
- secure and remove fragile, delicate, breakable or valuable items like cash, jewellery, artworks, antiques, or sentimental items before we get to your place. It’s for yours and our peace of mind.
- windows that are less than 3 (three) meters tall. If they are taller than that, sorry, we’re not going to do it.
- a safe working environment at your place.
- a clear way to get to the areas around your place that you want cleaned. If we can’t reach it, we won’t clean it. Simple.
- access to all services and utilities including hot and cold water, electricity and rubbish bins.
- let us know of any dangers, slippery surfaces, ingrained dirt, grease or grime at your place.
- make sure that it is your place and have permission to hire us.
HEALTH & SAFETY RISKS
Our employees at Kelly Kim Cleaning Services are like family, so naturally, we’dlike to keep them safe.
To do this, you’ll need to accept the following:
- Before we start any work your place, our cleaners will conduct a job safety analysis for any hazards and potential dangers.
- If the cleaners believe there are risks to their health and safety at your place, they have the right to refuse cleaning your place.
Our cleaners are ours
Our cleaners are an integral part here at Kelly Kim Cleaning Services and have put alot of effort in recruiting, selecting and training our cleaners. So, we appreciate it that you don’t try to take them away from us.
- This means you’re not allowed to directly or indirectly, engage, employ or contract with any of our cleaners to provide cleaning services either for yourself or anyone else while you are still hiring us.
- If you decided to take one of our cleaners away anyway, you’ll understand that you have hurt us deeply, and we’ll seek legal avenues to recover the losses and damages you’ve done to us.
Quotes
Quotes are hard. Sometimes we get it right, sometimes we don’t. But we’ll doour best to get it right.
So, here’s what you need to understand about our quotes:
The actual price payable by you, is based on the total number of hours our cleaners have worked on your place.
- Any prices quoted by us are estimates only. They are based on our experience and without inspection, based on the information you gave us.
- All of our quotes are valid for 30 (thirty) days from the date we gave them to you.
- If it becomes obvious either at the beginning or during our cleaning of your place that it’s going to cost more than the quote, we’ll let you know and give you 2 (two) options:
- You can pay the extra, which we’ll figure it out after we finish the job.
- You can pay the quoted price and we’ll complete a portion of the job.
- You need to tell us whether the job is an end-of-tenancy or not.
Bookings
- You can make a booking with us in person or through phone, email, or on our website.
- When you make a booking, you have to let us know of any dangers, slippery surfaces, ingrained dirt, grease or grime at your place.
- We might provide a quote either before or at the time of booking.
- When you book with us, you are giving us permission to charge your credit card any cancellation fees that’s in this agreement.
- Sometimes for whatever reason, we can’t accept the booking. Don’t hold it against us. You’ll just have to accept that.
Payment terms
Here at Kelly Kim Cleaning Services, we know we’ll do a good job so we expectto get paid for it. It’s only natural.
Here’s some straightforward money rules:
- You need to pay the quote before or at the beginning of the job.
- If you haven’t paid by the time the job is about to start, we’ll try to contact you for the payment. If we can’t contact you or you still haven’t paid us, we’ll consider the job cancelled and you’ll be charged the cancellation fees set out here.
- We accept credit cards, bank transfer, cheque or cash.
- Cheques should be made out to: Kelly Kim Cleaning Services.

We’ll keep this simple: all the prices we quote and invoice you will include GST.
Non-appearance
Sometimes, things outside of our control happen and we can’t make it. We’re sorry. But if we don’t make it to your place within 1 (one) hour of the time that you booked us for, we can:
- offer you a full refund; or
- offer to reschedule the booking to suit us both.
Complaints
When we finish a job, we hope you’re happy with us. But, we know that’s not always the case. So, let us know within 1 (one) business day and we’ll see what we can do about it.
Exclusions & Limitations
We’re honest folks here at Kelly Kim Cleaning Services, so we’re bound by the Australian Consumer Laws just like everybody else. That means if you’re not happy with us, we’ll do our best to satisfy you.
But let’s be clear about a few things:
- we’re not responsible for any wear or discolouring of fabric or surfaces becoming more visible once dirt has been removed.
- if you lose your keys while we’re there, that’s your responsibility not ours. Unless we lose your keys, we’re not responsible for replacement or locksmith keys.
- while we try to be consistent, we cannot guarantee the exact same results every time because there are alot of factors that we can’t control.
- we assume no liability (including liability in negligence) to anyone for any loss or damage as a result of using our services either directly or indirectly. This also applies to cancelled bookings.
- we’re not responsible for any losses or damages incurred by you or someone else because of unforeseen circumstances beyond our control.
- if you didn’t do what we asked for, we can’t and won’t do the job you asked us to do.
- if it’s not safe, we’re not doing it. Sorry, but we’re not superhuman here, just really good cleaners.
- sometimes, there’s existing dirt, wear or damage that cannot be cleaned or removed. You’ll need to accept this and move on.
Indemnity
Basically, you indemnify us against all losses or liabilities when you hire us to do a job, including any losses or liabilities as a result of not doing what we asked for.
You will also indemnify us against all legal costs and other expenses because of a demand, action, arbitration or other proceeding including debt recovery from yourself.
Accidents, breakage, damage & theft
If there’s been an accident, breakage, damage to property or theft, because of us, let us know within 1 (one) business day after completing our service.
If you fail to let us know within that time, then, to the extent of the law, you can’t claim any losses because of the incident.
To the extent of the law, we’re also not responsible for damages or losses for the following items: cash, jewellery, art, antiques, and sentimental items.
Cancellations
- If you need to suspend, postpone or cancel a booking, you need to let us know at least 1 (one) business day before we are scheduled to come to your place and we’ll do our best to sort it out for you.
- If you don’t, then you need to pay a cancellation fee that’s equivalent to 2 hours cleaning (including GST) for administrative costs and losses.
Non-access to premises
If our cleaner can’t reach your place because you didn’t provide a clear and obvious pathway, then you need to pay the cancellation fee equivalent to 2 hours cleaning (inclusive of GST) for administrative costs and loss.
Termination
- If you need to cancel a booking, you’ll need to let us know at least 1 (one) business day before we are scheduled to come to your place.
- If we need to cancel the booking, we’ll let you know within 1 (one) business day of the scheduled booking.
- If you breach any of these terms and conditions and it is very unlikely you’ll remedy it, then we have the right to cancel the job effective immediately.
Changes to this agreement
When we change any of these terms and conditions, we can do so at any time without telling you. But that doesn’t mean we’ll never tell you, we’ll try our best to keep you informed.
Any changes to the terms and conditions will take effect 1 (one) business day after it has been made publicly available.
All jobs and quotes provided to you by us, whether regular or one-off, will be updated with the new terms and conditions.
Law & jurisdiction
We currently operate in New South Wales, so these terms and conditions are applicable under NSW laws and any relevant Federal laws.
That means you can’t pick a law from say, Western Australia and try to sue us in Perth.
When we start cleaning in other states, our terms and conditions will be applicable to their laws. Makes sense right?
Severability
If any of these terms and conditions were found to be invalid, void, or enforceable, then you can view it as severed from the rest. All the other terms and conditions will still apply.
Copyright
Our terms and conditions are protected by international copyright laws and may only be used for personal reference only.
If you want to copy, alter, reproduce, publish transmit and/or otherwise distribute these terms and conditions, then you should:
- Ask our permission first; and
- Check with your lawyer if it’s legal to do so
Trademarks - not paid yet
We’re flattered that you want to use our any of our brand assets like our logo and business name, but unless you have our permission or it doesn’t break any laws, you can’t use them. Period.
